“I am very excited to be starting this new journey with the staff and parents of Costa. I believe that children learn best by hands-on experiences. I will promote this learning everyday in my classroom by providing developmentally appropriate activities.
I am looking forward to a great year.”
In our class the children have learned about dinosaurs. They learned how they moved in herds. They learned about carnivores and herbivores. the children made thier own volcano and made it erupt using vinegar and baking soda. the children used playdough and dinosaurs to make dinosaur fossils. Another thing that has happened this year is a visit from some firefighters. They showed the children their firetruck and their gear that they wear into the fire. They children seemed to have really enjoyed Catechist of the Good Shepard with Mrs. Moffitt. Also, Father Bill came to our class and shared a story called The Chrsitmas Story.
On a daily basis we learn about letters and numbers. The children really enjoy the jumping bean game that helps them learn the alphabet. The children have learned how to spell, recognize, and even write their names. The children have learned about shapes and colors. In math the children have worked on patterning, number recogniation, and ordering.
