Our Programs

Costa Catholic Academy teaches all core subjects, but we know that students' lives are enriched by other topics as well! Our religious education, athletics, music, and library facility help prepare students for successful lives after their time at Costa.

REligious Education

Each Costa Catholic Academy student receives daily Religion instruction. However, to build a strong foundation, we foster the Catholic community around each student with a faith formation program that extends our prayer traditions to parents, students, teachers, and parishioners alike.

Costa offers general music for all students Pre-K - 4th grade, first semester 5th grade, and an optional elective for 6th - 8th graders. We also have a string ensemble, two choirs (the Jubilee Choir and the Singing Friars), a cadet band, and a symphonic band. Costa is an Illinois Grade School Music Association member.

All students in grades 5-8 may participate in no try-out sports. Fall sports include co-ed soccer and girls volleyball. In winder, our boys and girls basketball teams compete, and spring brings co-ed track season. 6th grade girls may participate in pon-poms, and 7th & 8th grade girls may become cheerleaders.

Students in both the Primary and Costa buildings will have access to their own libraries. Every student will visit the library with their class at least once a week. We are proud of our Accelerated Reading (AR) Program, for all students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
